Spring is quickly approaching guys! Before you know it the streets will be filled with short shorts, bikini ties peaking beneath highlighted hair, sunglasses, tans, and all that good stuff. The collection I wanted to showcase is D&G’s Spring 2012 collection. If you didn’t already know this is D&G’s last collection. Moment of silence. I felt my heart sink when I found out because I had just seen this collection which was my most favourite for spring and I couldn’t believe there would be no more. Just so people aren’t confused, D&G is a different line from Dolce & Gabbana. It’s the more affordable/youthful line.
The reason i wanted to show this collection early is so you could be exposed to what I think will end up being a big trend for Spring. I’m just waiting for BCBG, Zara, H&M and Forever 21 to copy designs straight from the runway. This collection consists of clothing made from silk scarves with LOTS OF PRINT! Print mixed with print mixed with print mixed with print. D&G is the king of sexy clothing. Short micro minis and high wedges equals sexy. I hope many of you will be courageous enough to rock multiple print pieces and colours that don’t necessarily go together. TAKE RISKS!
ACCESSORIES
Shoes
There were no pumps in this collection which is kind of interesting. Instead they just sent down a bunch of gorgeous wedges covered in the same printed fabric. The coin sandal and wedge are my favourites!
Bags
Jewellery/Hats
As you could probably tell from all the paisley like prints, there is a certain gypsy feel to the collection. This theme was also incorporated into the jewellery made out of a bunch of gold coins. The fedoras are a great statement piece if you just want to have one thing that pops in your outfit.
RIP D&G
